You can’t have a real conversation about NYC housing without public housing. New York City Housing Authority houses hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers across 174,000 apartments—and has 600,000 open violations. And while many of NYCHA’s challenges mirror those of other affordable housing in New York, if we’re talking about tenant experiences those voices deserve a seat at the table.
