At the Turtle Survival Center, our tortoises have sprinklers in their enclosures that mimic rainfall, creating the moist conditions found in their native habitats. From May to September, the sprinklers run twice a day, while the rest of the year they remain off. This video was taken over the summer, so the sprinklers won’t be coming on again anytime soon.
