Boulder police are seeking the community’s help in identifying and locating a suspect accused of fraud involving gold bars.

Scammers claiming to be government officials stole $700,000 from two Boulder residents when they persuaded each to buy gold bars with their savings and fork them over earlier this year, police say.

Police said the scammers convinced her to liquidate her life savings and buy approximately $200,000 in gold bars.
