Apple surprised many when it quietly announced updated Mac mini and Mac Studio models shortly before its September event. We would normally have expected these announcements to be part of that event.

Mark Gurman at Bloomberg has previously reported that Apple’s next iPad mini will get a big display upgrade, moving from LCD to OLED. As for launch timing, Gurman has only said “as early as next year.
