With Stranger Things ending its 42-episode run on Dec. 31, 2025, it isn't surprising that the show got a spinoff. The series has proven tremendously popular, with its third season setting the record for the most-watched original Netflix series. As of 2023, a live-action spinoff was in development, but nothing has been formally announced.

At the end of Stranger Things: Tales From '85 Season 2, the group reunites, thinking the crisis is over. The finale wraps up with them returning to their ordinary lives. Nikki and her mother remain at Hawkins, and her mother takes up a teaching job at Hawkins High. Elsewhere, Mike asks Eleven to be his girlfriend.
