The new-look Wolverines have a new coach and seem ready to compete this year.

At one point in time, there were high expectations for these four players, but they aren't trending to play as much heading into Week 1.

Kyle Whittingham is set to make his coaching debut at Michigan this Saturday night against Western Michigan at Michigan Stadium.

Marshall quietly put together an impressive 2025 campaign, rushing for 932 yards and 10 touchdowns on 150 carries while averaging 6.2 yards per carry, according to his ESPN game log. He finished only 68 yards short of becoming Michigan's first 1,000-yard rusher since Blake Corum in 2023.

The Wolverines are turning back the clock and wearing a look they haven't had since 2017.
